Submitting for consideration and confirmation as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of Hawaii, Gubernatorial Nominee, KATHERINE G. LEONARD, for a term to expire in ten years- State Senate voted not to consent by a vote of 14-8, on August 6, 2010.
Rep. Pine provided a congratulatory certificate to Ewa Beach historian- John Bond, for initiating the inaugural July 4th event at the Hawaiian Railway Society that featured the Ewa Planatation Singers and speeches by Congressman Charles Djou, Historian Emeritus Ray Emory, and National Park Service Histrian- Daniel Martinez. Representative Kymberly Pine was the only House member that voted no to raiding the Hawaii Hurricane Relief Fund. She wanted the monies taken to be paid back. A Yes vote was a vote to take the monies out of the fund and not return the money when better times prevail.
Veterans were told by Senator Will Espero that he would put the FLAG BILL language into another bill on this day...that never happened.
